Three Reasons Why I'm Taking LIS 753:

1. To polish up an old skill! When I was 16, I learned some very basic coding in Java and C++ at summer camp and really enjoyed it, but it didn't survive past summer camp. Now I'm coming back to it with a vengeance!
2. It will be useful! Even though I probably won't end up with a job that requires constant coding, it never hurts to have some extra skills up my sleeve.
3. For fun! This is the last class I need to finish my MLIS degree, so I wanted to try something that would be fun and challenging in a different way than the rest of my courses.

I'm excited and only a little nervous to see if this works, so...
